time out

I am going to take a time out for a little bit. I am not feeling the greatest right now.

If you need any stamp ideas, want some book recommendations or want to chit chat, feel free to email me.

I won't be gone for long, I hope.

Saturday Story Time

I picked up this book last week on a whim. Actually, I couldn't find the other 3 books that I wanted to read so this was my last choice. Boy am I glad I did. The book was full of drama, I really liked it!

I have to admit, until this past year, I never read Chrisitan fiction. In fact, when I thought Christian Fiction, the only books that came to my mind were the scarey Left Behind books. OK, with that being said, I am loving the books that I have been reading!

About this book: Presumed Guilty...the main character was a strong woman with a sketchy past but overcame it. After her husband was arrested her faith was tested...big time.

Not only did she have the issues with her pastor husband being arrested for murdering a porn star but she is also having troubles with her son. He was just discharged from the military and is fighting his own demons after serving in Iraq.

Anyways, I don't want to say much more, I don't want to ruin it for you...I would give it a 4/5 stars!

Lipstick & Water

Bad thing, can't really get a good shot of the elephant. It is really cool! I stamped it twice and put the face on with pop dots for added depth.

Good Job Logan!

Last week Logan had his Spring Concert...it was a great show. The entire show was done using silly songs and everyone was crackin' up the entire time.
I made this card for him congrat'ing him on a job well done. He was so worried...he tells me that he has "Stage Tightness"

Get Well

I think that this is my favorite card right now. I loved it so much that I made 6 of them.
I do have to admit, it was a little ouside of my box also...it is 5.5x5.5 in size. I never do cards that size.

Saturday Story Time

This last month our library's book club chose a Karen Kingsbury book to read for the monthly Faithful Reader's group. The book we read was "A Time to Dance".

I really liked it, at first I didn't think I would. The storyline was good and it was a quick read. The subject was a touchy one, divorce & a Christian family. This can be a taboo subject for some people. I really got a lot out of this book and it changed the way I look at my marriage and husband. Anyway, here is what they have to say about it:

John and Abby were the perfect couple, but they are about to lose it all: On the verge of having an affair, John is no more the man Abby married than she is the long ago girl of his dreams. They make the sad decision to divorce. When they gather their three children to tell them the news, their daughter makes an announcement of her own: she's getting married that summer.Determined not to ruin their daughter's season of happiness, Abby and John secretly agree to put their divorce plans on hold. But as the wedding nears, they wonder: Is it possible to find joy, after all these years, and perhaps the time...to dance.
